: I'm confused by the verbiage in the first sentence of the conclusion and by the term, retinaculum. I've never seen these terms in my experiences ordering knee MRI's. I think your ordering MD has to sit down with the radiologist in order to attain diagnostic clarity although it seems that you have a small tear of a cartilage about which an orthopedic surgeon will advise you.

? Patellar dislocate: Sounds more like a patellar dislocation. Rx varies with traumatic, 1st time, no trauma involved, also depends on ur alignment . Could b surg repair 2 realignment procedure , soft tissue or boney or both. A lot needs 2 b taken into evaluating  the cause & then deciding on a rx.

Multiple reasons: Perhaps it's not just the nerves, but also the joints, ligaments and tendons in the knee that hurt after prolonged stretching, standing, sitting, strenuous exercise.
These could be due to strain, sprain, nerve inflammation or impingement.
Any symptoms that get worse or accompanied by leg weakness or shrinkage of muscles, have yourself examined by your dr.
