What does apprehension of patellar translation mean? also what does small tear of the articular surface edge of the medial retinaculum mean? could you please explain i surely am in a lot of pain with my knee?

I'm confused by the verbiage in the first sentence of the conclusion and by the term, retinaculum. I've never seen these terms in my experiences ordering knee MRI's. I think your ordering MD has to sit down with the radiologist in order to attain diagnostic clarity although it seems that you have a small tear of a cartilage about which an orthopedic surgeon will advise you.
