Can uncommonly: Ulcers usually don't cause diarrhea. Most ulcers not due to excess acid. Rare kind has too much acid production, associated with diarrhea.

Yeast in bowel: You may have a yeast (fungus) infection of your bowel.  There are effective anti-fungal medicines which may help, available by prescription.  Please see your doctor, and after completing the course of medication, help restore the “good bacteria” in your system by eating yogurts such as Activia.

hello! i'm 22 . it's been 2 months that i feel heartburn like stomach ulcer and get acid reflux but i don't have diarrhea. i went to doctor and tried medications and pills like omeprazole, nexium,hyoscyan and aluminum-mg ,but non of them worked ?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If you are overweight, it would be helpful if you could lose weight.

severe stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea. no fever. could my stomach ulcer have perforated? or more likely food poisoning? no blood in vomit.

Gastroenteritis: If you indeed had a perforated ulcer with peritonitis, you would not be having diarrhea and likely have much more systemic symptoms.  This sounds like some type of viral gastroenteritis or possible food poisoning.  You should limit your oral intake to clear liquids, such as gatorade or other hydrating fluids with salt.  This should improve over the next 2-3 days.  If persistent, see your md.

Duration is key: The most intriguing part of your question is that two of your friends had something similar recently. To me that raises the question of whether you have an infectious colitis: parasite/Giardia, bacteria, etc. You need a stool culture after evaluation with your doctor. These symptoms can also be due to irritable bowel syndrome (which is common/your friends could have this, too!) Take care:)

had an ugie in march and was diagnosed with peptic ulcer disease. had on-off diarrhea 3 weeks ago & blood in stool 2x. had a triphasic whole abdominal ct scan in may, came back clear except for reproductive issues. could i have gastrinomas or ibd?

: gastrinomas are diagnosed by lab tests and IBD by symptoms and , tests and colonoscopy. Best is not try to self-diagnose but ask your doc/ gsatro for answers. good luck

It can: The most highly allergenic foods are Dairy, Eggs. Tree Nuts. Peanuts. Shellfish. Wheat. Soy. Fish. If you have a peptic ulcer, your stomach is already irritated and inflamed. Adding highly allergenic foods can cause diarrhea as the inflammation increases and causes malabsorption issues in the intestines.

Hematuria: Please ask your doctor to order TODAY a urinalysis and culture, and consider initiating antibiotics for possible urinary tract infection. Any history of stones?  Have you been taking a lot of NSAID's for your headache--if so, please stop!

Stay hydrated : The pain is normal, as long as the wounds look ok. The diarrhea can be normal, but if you're running a fever or feel ill, see your surgeon and ask to check for C. Dificile colitis. The vomiting/diarrhea could be from a viral infection, or an abscess. You must stay well hydrated, and may need IV fluids. Best to call your surgeon for a more complete eval. Hope this helps!
