Yes: Ulcers are not the only cause of abdominal pain. Here are others: simply eating too much, eating certain foods that are not tolerated by your body (lactose, allergies), gallstones, pancreas inflammation, a mass, or GI tract infection/inflammation. If it persists, see your doctor.

Poss gallbladder: Difficult to say for sure but persistent symptoms after a big meal that are now occurring every time eat could represent gallbladder disease, pancreatitis, or peptic ulcer disease. Reflux also possible. Recommend an appointment with your physician for additional history, exam and possibly blood work, imaging study like ultrasound or an endoscopy.

i get stomach pain after all meals i've been to many doctors they all say i'm fine there's nothing wrong with my stomach. then why do i get pain?

Accepted Answer

Gastritis: Most common cause of pain after eating can be due to gastric ulcer, or gastritis.  Other causes including gastroparesis, diffuse esophageal spasm, duodenitis, celiac disease can also reproduce symptoms of abdominal pain.  For further evaluation, additional testing may be needed, including testing for Helicobacter pylori, esophageal gastroduodenoscopy, esophageal motility/pH testing.

my 63 yo mom has stomach pain after every meal.  she had part of her colon removed due to stage 4 colon cancer yrs ago. why does she get stomach pain?

Hard to Say: She should probably be seen by her doctor.  Is this a new symptom? It is hard to know without more detail and further investigation, but she may be having a problem completely unrelated to her history of cancer such as gastritis, reflux, or ulcer disease, or she may be having an issue related to a recurrence.

Depends: How long have the symptoms been present? Any other medical problems? Any medications? Any behavior problems? Bowel movements? Many possible causes including gerd, peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, food allergies, partial bowel obstruction, gall bladder disease to name a few. See pediatrician and/or pediatric gastroenterologist.

Could be ulcer: Epigastric pain which is the tip of your stomach could mean either ulcer or gastritis
stay on liquid or light diet take either Prilosec or zantac (ranitidine) from over the counter with some anti acid make sure your bowels moving ok no constipation 
if your symptoms does not improve your doctor should referred you for upper endoscopy  
it could be your gallbladder as well
your doctor could determined that.

Some thoughts...: If this has come on recently, it could be a viral illness that's causing the stomach discomfort along with diarrhea.  These usually last for about a week and get better on their own.  I'd see your doctor if you're having fevers > 3 days, increasing pain, bloody diarrhea, severe nausea or vomiting, or this isn't improving after about a week. Hope you feel better soon!

i have an appointment with gi on the 3rd. diagnosed with c. diff a month ago and took 10 days 3xday of flagyl. stomach pain gone, vomiting after meals?

Vomiting: Stool culture for c. Diff will determine if the infection is eradicated. Perhaps you have developed a gastritis from medication causing nausea and vomiting. Following a bland,low fat diet, drinking flat ginger ale or taking ginger, taking Dramamine as needed may stop the vomiting. Vomiting associated with abdominal pain calls for prompt evaluation in the hospital emergency room. Gastro to advise.

when i eat something with to much sugar or to hot, i get stomach ache. i can't digest big meals or lay down right after i eat. after meal i feel tired?

Try Antacid: Try one of the over the counter antacid before eating. If the symptoms persist or get worse you should see your doctor and get checked.
