Gastritis: Most common cause of pain after eating can be due to gastric ulcer, or gastritis. Other causes including gastroparesis, diffuse esophageal spasm, duodenitis, celiac disease can also reproduce symptoms of abdominal pain. For further evaluation, additional testing may be needed, including testing for Helicobacter pylori, esophageal gastroduodenoscopy, esophageal motility/pH testing.
