how soon can i light weights if i have a few stitches on my gums ?

When you want to: Stitches on the gums are not a contraindication to lifting weights, if you are otherwise up to doing the exercise.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Hole: I would recommend that you return to the surgeon and have the area looked at as something is preventing the tissue from healing.

i had a tooth extracted and some stitches fell out today, there is since a small bubble of gum hanging down. i wanted to know if it's normal.

Accepted Answer

Stitches: Stitches ususally come out 7-10 days after the extraction.  So depending  on how long ago you had your extraction this may be normal healing.  If you are having swelling, severe pain  or any concerns call the dentist or oral surgeon  and they can answer your question and tell you if you are healing normally.

how would i know i ripped stitches in my gums after reverse root canal and cyst removal? is it normal to now on day 3 begin to feel weird sensations?

Post Op ?'s: Gently pull your lip back and look. If the tissues look like they are in place, you're probably ok. You would have to see your dentist in person to be sure. It's not uncommon to have different feelings through the healing process.Call your dentist for advice.

i have a few white hardish  lumps on my  gum were i have had a tooth pulled about 3 weeks ago we're the stitches are.. what is this??

See your DDS/surgeon: If the lumps did not go away in 3 weeks, it would be best if you visited a doctor in order to find out the cause.

ive had my wisdom tooth removed. one of the stitches came loose before being dissolved. there is a hole at the back of my gums. its not causing unbearable pain but food gets stuck in there. should i be worried?

Wisdom tooth removal: If it is not bleeding and there is no pain, start rinsing with warm salt water one day after the extraction every time you eat to keep the area clean. It will take about 4 to 6 weeks for the area to heal and the hole filled. Stay on a soft diet. Brush/floss your teeth to prevent plaque/tartar build up. Don’t smoke. If there is pain, call your dentist to make sure the area is not getting infected.

i just had 27 teeth removed 10 days ago and a stitches are coming out on their own because they are the dissolving stitches. well i have a flap of gum tissue in my front that is loose and no pain.  is it normal for that?

Post op healing: This can happen from time to time, especially with so many extractions so close to one another. It will take a bit more time and the flap most likely will even out.

have over 15-20 bone spurs after full extraction. stitches came out. top gum looks like cauliflower. i think i feel cartilage the also. dr said spurs will dissolve. the pain is terrible. gums are open?

: Get a second opinion , the bone Spurs may be causing the pain and may need to be made smoother to avoid pinching on soft tissue to give you immediate pain .
In the meantime Take the pain medication and Antibiotic .
The dentist should also evaluate that the pain is not from dry socket and do the necessary treatment needed .

i have stitches in my gums/cheeks from 2 lower wisdom tooth extracted exactly 7 days from today. i felt pain when i use my back teeth.is this normal?

Wisdom tooth healing: It is common for there to be some pain in  your jaw and back teeth after wisdom tooth extraction as you are going thru a healing phase.  Have you had your stitches removed yet?  Call the extracting dentist. They can best advise you at this point since they know your condition.

i fell 2 weeks ago, they put stitches outside of the chin and inside of the lip between the gum and lip.now i have a crocked smile, is it nerve damage?

Accepted Answer

Crooked smile: At two weeks post injury, it is normal to have swelling which would lead to distortion of your smile.  It is very unlikely that this is nerve damage and your smile should return to normal.  This may take as long as a couple of months.
