Depends: New onset of pain and/or new onset of swelling at the site of a sutured wound is an infection until proved otherwise.  However, any wound held together by tight sutures may look blue / dusky as new blood comes in to assist healing and stays in the area after giving up its oxygen.

It depends: Usually it is fine, especially more than two days out from surgery.  Certain circumstances and locations could have different restrictions.  Ask your surgeon.

Stitches?: After cleaning the wound, if the cut does not stay closed on its own or continues to bleed, then you likely need stiches.  There are a variety of closures available such as the thread like material used to stitch the wound closed, staples, glue, steri-strips, etc.  Each depends on the location and type of wound.
