Steroids effects: Steroids are very important in the treatment of multiple conditions. Cortisone and strides in general may alter the way blood sugar is metabolized (diabetes) . Long term use of steroids reduces calcium absorption causing brittle bones (osteoporosis).

Different Treatment: You have a chronic condition-you need a treatment that can be used long term.  Ultraviolet light treatment or a different oral immune suppressing medicine are possible options.

You can then follow it and review it with your doctor every 4-6 months for changes that may be needed depending on the response.

: You can continue to use it for controlling the new eruptions. If not treated, you may itch and scratching which makes the condition worse. You should try to find the etiology of the eczema and get rid of the cause such as foods, medications, cosmetics, or sometimes just dry skin.

It could: Possible, the needle itself might have irritated the nerve. Do me a favor and stay away from those injections, there are other ways, nowadays you cd even google them. Steroids can destroy tendons and tissues if repeated.

Depends on severity: Eczema is an inflammatory condition of the skin. Steroids suppress inflammation. If topical steroids, such as Hydrocortisone cream, reduce the eruption then oral steroid therapy is not needed. If however the topical agents fail to control the inflammation then sometimes oral steroids will resolve the flare-up.

Eczema flare: Depends on the etiology of the eczema , sometimes it is allergic to foods , milk soy or environmental and may resolve if you avoid the trigger, sometimes it is due to  strep and resolves with treatment of strep . Aveeno oatmeal baths may help if not allergic, possible moisutizers like  Eucerin cream   f/u/ w/ dermatology

im on 30 mg of steroids for 4 days then stepping down for an asthma flare up, will this cause a big hit to my immune system?

Not particularly: This is a standard short term burst treatment and often used in asthma management. An occasional short burst therapy will not alter your immune system. Taken daily for a month and it likely would.
