Lung or rib: Your family physician should be able to distinguish between rib pain ( intercostal neuralgia) which can radiate from front to back of chest,  and pain from the lung  (intrathoraic). This would include pleurisy (pleuritis) , various forms of pneumonia,

May be recurrence: .... Could also be unrelated.   There are some conditions that can result in recurrent "pneumonia".  This may be an infectious process or it may be an inflammatory disease.   There are even some airway tumors that can occur in nonsmokers and result in recurrent pneumonias.  Bottom line. ..If it continues bother you, or you develop more symptoms, see your doctor.  You may need further testing.

There may be several causes of pleuritis, such as infection, inflammation, reactive airway disease, etc. Take an NSAID and call the Dr. for an evlautaion of your chest/lung discomfort

Impossible to know: This type of pain can simply be caused by a muscle pull (small muscles between the ribs) or irritation of the lining around the lung; both relatively benign.  However, a collapsed lung can also manifest in this way and would require urgent, if not emergent, medical attention. One must examine you to be sure.  I recommend you seek the care of a physician now.

X ray no narcotics: Get chest/rib x ray . I would not use any narcotics or addictive meds like Diazepam. For more the 3-4 days . Consider physical therapy as strain may be the diagnosis after x ray and exam

scoloskeletal pain.It is not pleuritic as it does NT  hurt on deep breathing, good physical exam and cxr should help.

It’s not clear: Unfortunately inflammation is still a very vague word. Any injury anywhere will cause inflammation, so this diagnosis is not precise. It is describing a process, but the cause may still need to be found. Infection (viral or bacterial), chemical, or allergic are all possibilities. Did they offer any treatment?Some symptoms include cough, fever, asthmatic type chest tightness and wheezing, phlegm
