However, I'm more concerned that you haven't been evaluated &amp; treated for possible cellulitis (some antibiotics should not be taken when lactating). You need...: This needs immediate evaluation especially when this is going on in the face area. This could be an abscess not responding to antibiotics and might require to be drained and treated as necessary. Please see your doctor as soon as possible.

Maybe: Two red marks sounds like a bug bite, the only way to know if it was a spider is in 1-2 days it will turn dark around the red marks. If this occurs u should visit your local md or ed because it will need excision.

Maybe: The picture you describe is certainly compatible with an acute gout attack. However, gout is an extremely rare disease in a premenopausal female. If it happens again, try to see a rheumatologist.

Hello. : Hello. Many spider bites cause no significant health problems.  I don't know if he had a spider bite. Some spider bites have a black eschar (scab) in the middle and the skin around it is lighter colored (necrotic tissue). I am answering this six days after it was written, so hopefully it has healed by now. If it is red, hot, tender, swollen or purulent  this many days out, then he may have an infection that would benefit from evaluation.

Take Vitamin C   1 gram twice daily.

: Cellulitis and deep vein thrombosis ( dvt) can be confused with eachother due to calf swelling, redness and tenderness. What you have described is more consistent with your history of being treated for a cellulitis. If concerned for a blood clot, please see your doctors and if needed they will order a doppler ultrasound to evaluate for a blocked vein - this is the test to diagnose a blood clot.

: Probably a stye if you can see the bump right at the border of the eyelid when the eyelash is.

Red streaks coming from the affected area could be a sign of cellulitis, which can be a more serious skin infection.  It requires prescription antibiotics in order to be treated.
