was in er for terrible back spasms into upper abdomen. like being squeezed. i felt debilitated :( prescription for questran & bentyl (dicyclomine).  does this seem right?

Hopeful: You had to go to the ed for back spasms.  You were given medications and hopefully these will work.  Talk to your local pharmacist.  Strong narcotics don't block muscle spasm so the ed physician gave you muscle relaxant.  Rest your back well or it may recur.  You can walk.  Let your primary care doctor know of your visit so he/she can anticipate how best to treat you before returning to ed.

constant painless flutter/spasm in upper abdomen left side under ribs. stops when flexed. off & on bloating/diarrhea/constipation. been working out harder and reintroduced rice & beans recently. not sure if related. avoiding clinic due to corona.

Need balanced diet: This may indeed be related to your exercise and diet regimen as bloating (gases) and overstretched abdominal muscles may be the source of pain..get back to a normal (balanced) diet first and if that doesn't work,see a physician

Not usually: Diastasis recti is a condition where the abdominal midline is widened between the two bellies of the rectus abdominis muscle.  It is not a hernia but often confused with one.  It shoudl not cause crampy pain in the upper abdomen, and this could be related to some other condition.

i have a sevear spasm in my upper abdomen and if i push on the right hand side it's extremely painful. the pain from my abdomen goes into my upper back and my chest making it hard to breathe. this only happens at night time. what should i do?

Spasm abdomen: You need to have someone on your medical team do a careful history and do an examination.  My first hunch is you have strained a muscle(s).

Many causes : Abdominal pain in young women is common and can be a serious condition. If this is persistant you should seek medical attention for examination, blood tests and likely ct scanning pending those results.

Measures function: HIDA scan measures how much of your gall bladder empties when stimulated to do so. 85% means it empties very well. However if your symptoms were experienced much worse during the test  then this might still be gallbladder pain called biliary dyskinesia. Get evaluated: It is very possible that you may have gallbladder stones that are causing the symptoms you are describing however without a complete evaluation in person by physician it is difficult to say. Additional lab work as well as imaging of that area is likely to occur, best of luck.
