Home remedies: You can gargle w aloe vera juice a couple of times per day. A mix of chamomile tea w honey ; a small amt of lemon juice helps. For significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see physician ; get a strep throat test ; culture. Antibiotics are imperative for strep throat.

am i allowed to eat canned food in south beach diet?

Accepted Answer

No: It is always best to use fresh food, or frozen. Canned foods are ok for emergencies, but should not be regularly used. Many cans contain bpa in the liner, and are not good for you.

: Guidance is contradictory because scientific evidence is contradictory - or non-existent. Most of these recommendations are based on “feel good” ideas, maybe passed down from  family tradition or what’s “cool” in your social circle. Check with a nutritionist to be sure it doesn’t do harm.

Oxalate: Although many foods contain oxalate, only nine foods are believed to increase  importantly in the urine and then promote kidney stone formation. They are: beets, spinach, rhubarb, strawberries, nuts, chocolate, tea, wheat bran, and all dry beans (fresh, canned, or cooked), excluding lima and green beans. It is best to avoid these foods.  Drinking 3 to 4 liters per day of fluid is essential.

Accepted Answer

Don't starve: The original HCG diet is too restrictive and not recommended. Get off the 'why bother eating' diet. Eat whole foods, lots of vegetables, enough protein, and good fats such as coconut and olive oil. Restrict carbohydrates.

See below: Any fresh fruit, any fresh vegetable, any legume or bean, any whole grain that isnt processed. Lean cuts of meat, chicken and turkey without the skin. Eggs and low fat dairy products. Healthy fish include salmon, fresh tuna, mackerel, and sardines. Nuts ( unsalted) are also healthy.

Forget the det isle: Buy fresh regular foods, watch total calories and stay away from the diet isle.

Google carbohydrates: Carbohydrates are good sources of energy, but they are easy to overdo! healthy carbohydrates include whole grain bread and cereals like oatmeal. Less healthy carbs include cakes, cookies, candy - you get the point: sugar is a carbohydrate! alcohol is a carbohydrate. You may want to limit your carbs to the healthier ones and try to reduce your intake of sugary junk food. Good luck.

Check web-site: I don't have info on the atkins diet, since i don't find it of any use. Check w/a registered dietitian and get support from weight watchers or other quality programs. Eat less and exercise more. It's the only way.

my vit d was 18, bad diet/eating issues. in one year, it raised to 24 with good diet. possible to raise it more with food/sun? (now that it is spring)

Yes: Sun will help, as well as food sources of vitamin D. Supplements are always possible. Follow your level. All the best.
