Get diagnosis: Have you seen a health care provider? These skin lesions could be anything from bug bites to staph infection to folliculitis. Treatment depends on the diagnosis.

i have a leg that swelled from excessive fluid . the doctor has gotten the sores to heal but there is still infection under the skin . i s there any way i can get the infection out, like some kind of cream?

: It's not entirely clear what you mean by infection "under the skin". If there is redness of the skin and tenderness to the touch, you likely have cellulitis and need antibiotic treatment. The best approach depends a lot on the cause of the "sores" you had. Applying antibiotic or other creams is not likely to help. Discuss this with your doctor. Good luck.

Blistering: There are a number of conditions that can show up as blisters from poison ivy to drug reactions to autoimmune conditions, where the immune system is causing blisters. Please see your dermatologist for an evaluation and skin biopsy to determine the cause.

Probably not: Eczema does not usually cause open sores. You should definitely see your doctor about this. You might have an infection or other issue. Good luck.

Get seen: This could be serious, any of several of the blistering skin diseases. If you are taking any medications you don't really need, discontinue them.

Check immune system: An immunology workup may reveal why you seem unable to heal. If you have  persistent sores, there can be nutritional or genetic issues. If you get infected easily, and can't fight infections, that's another issue. Sometimes the reason may be relatively simple, but often very specific and complex tests are needed to shed light on the problem. That is why a specialist is your best bet.

in er. swab test/blood work. diangosis strep b on calf. prescription 875 mg amoxicillin bid. how long before i feel relief & when will sores heal & stop seeping yellow

May not be strep : While er showed strep, it may also be MRSA which doesn't respond to augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate).   I would add either minocycline, doxycycline, or Bactrim to cover MRSA and if there is a boil(abscess) it must be drained too.

im having quadracept sparing knee surgery on knees. i am partial bone on bone. my sores do not heal fast. last fall, my small sore i had a soft tissue infection & put on antibiotic. i'm worried. how am i going to do with stiches? i am not diabetic?

: You will do just fine. Your doc will not remove the stitches till the wound is healed. Let her/ him know of your concern. Good luck
