Check your veins: Given your signs & symptoms, you may have not only spider veins, but abnormal (refluxing) larger veins beneath the spiders, known as saphenous veins, or possibly refluxing reticular veins that are larger than spider but smaller than saphenous veins. You should have a vein specialist (phlebologist) evaluate your legs for underlying refluxing veins using ultrasonography. Your symptoms can be treated.

Vascular consult: You need to see a vascular doctor (vascular and interventional radiologist, vascular surgeon, etc) to get evaluated. Slow healing is a sign of advanced disease so the sooner, the better. www.houstonvir.com/pad-houston.
