Pfm's are porcelain fused to metal crowns so there is a layer of metal under the pocelain that can transmit light through the porcelain where it is thin.  If this is the case then you could have them replaced with metal free crowns for esthetics.

It happens because babies lack the functioning enzyme system that detoxifies the chloramphenicol, resulting in the build up of toxic metabolites and an insufficient kidney to excrete the drug.  Symptoms: vomiting, grey skin color, limp body tone, low bp, blue color of lips and skin, low temp.
