Pollution: Usually grey mucous means that you have been in a polluted or smoky area and your body is trying to get rid of this material and prevent it from getting into your lungs. If you live in a polluted city it may be hard to avoid inhaling the polluted air. If you are coughing alot, felling sick, or wheezing then you should see a doctor.
