Probably cyst: There are 2 cyst commonly seen on the scalp: pilar cyst and an epidermal inclusion cyst.  Both are benign.  If you are concerned see your doctor.  There are usually very easy to remove.  The tissue will be submitted to a pathologist who will examine it and determine its origin.

i have a soft lump on top of my head. it does not hurt, but seems to be a little bigger. should i worry about it?

Lump: A soft lump would suggest that it's in the scalp and not the skull bone. A benign fatty tumor(lipoma)  or wens are possibilitiesl but a physician would have to examine you to be sure.

Lump on head: Any lump needs to be examined by your doctor.  Please see him/her.  It may be a sebaceous cyst, which are relatively common, treatable, and not something to worry over.  Peace and good health.

Follow up needed : Hard lump on top of head could be a cyst, you need to have io looked at by a Physician.  Specially if it is causing you pain. It is not related to the migraine headaches.

Head Pain: If the lesion is growing or causing continued discomfort for more than a month, a ct scan or MRI is indicated. Unfortunately this will usually require sedation to keep a four year old still. Discuss the procedure with the treating physician.

No. : Not even if it is injected there. Botox can cause minute bruises if a small blood vessel is inadvertently hit by the injecting needle, but these "bumps" go away as fast as your body absorbs the bruise! most lumps on the top of the head are pilar cysts.

Cyst.: Trichilemmal  os sebaceaous cyst.  Usually bumps on the head are cysts of one sort or another.  Sometimes they can be infected.  At that point they are quite obviously painful swollen and red.

Most likely Yes,.: If the "lump" is a smooth ridge that extends from front to back and is mid-line, then yes, and you have nothing to worry about. If it is in any other direction, or is painful to touch is is shaped like a small ping pong ball, i would recommend you go to your doctor.
