Most often this is a traumatic fibroma from habitual scraping of the tongue across the sharp edges of the front teeth or nibbling the tip with the front teeth. Sore Tongue bumps: A chronic reappearance of tongue sores suggests a food allergy. Nuts /spices/ dairy are some of the culprits.
See your DDS first to rule out dentistry as the problem.
Then go to an allergist to be tested.

Testing may be required .
