what can sleeping with your phone under your pillows do to you?

Accepted Answer

Probably little bad: Other than waking you up when it rings i doubt it would have any detrimental affect.... Maybe someone else has a different answer...

is it ok to sleep with your phone on as i have been doing it for last 2 years as i find it easier to sleep i use headphones its wired headphones and the phones about a feet away is this ok or could i do anything to fix it?

Not recommended: I don't recommend all that exposure to a cell phone. There are still concerns among some clinicians about radiation from the phone and possible relationship to  certain types of brain tumors. This is by no means a certainty but why take a chance?

i only had 5 hours of sleep at most this week or is because i watch too much on my phone, what to do?

Accepted Answer

Sleep: Turn the phone off and keep it far from you so you can't reach it from bed.  Read a book or magazine instead until your sleepy.

See your doctor: You may have a vitamin deficiency. You may be overextended and need to make lifestyle changes. Your diet may be contributing. You are sleeping deeply when you get there. Talk to your doctor and see what needs to be done.

Sleep Hygiene is key: Retire &amp; rise same time each day. Keep bedroom dark &amp; cool &amp; use only for sex &amp; sleep. Turn off tv. No naps. Exercise regularly but not in late evening. No caffeine for 6 hrs &amp; no alcohol or tobacco w/i 2 hrs of sleep. Keep dinner moderate sized &amp; finish at least 2 to 3 hrs before sleep. Can try warm milk, Chamomile tea or melatonin along w light reading, warm bath or lavender scent.

Sleepiness: Sleepiness in your case may be due to the taking of tranquilizers like xanax (alprazolam) and some people experience fatigue or drowsiness while on beta blockers like metoprolol. Narcolepsy and sleep apnea can also cause problematic daytime somnolence. Discuss this symptom with your physician who will review your medications and refer you for appropriate tests or consultations with specialists like neurologist

Insomnia: Sleep hygiene is best option. Sometimes, medications are used on as needed basis. Evaluation by your doctor to rule out treatable causes of insomnia is needed first.

No: The radiation given off by your cell phone isn't the kind that damages tissue. The "controversy" is being kept alive by crooks and by venal politicians. The "science" is total junk. In the biggest study, there were 10% more brain tumors on the OPPOSITE side  from the cell phone. Stop worrying -- Mr. Putin's not  scared.

Tricks: The blue light tricks our brain into thinking it is not really nighttime and we should feel more awake. It's similar to the blue light boxes sold for seasonal affective disorder and also used to treat circadian rhythm sleep disorders.
