how can i make my 2 months old sleep deep ? i guess his hearing is very good that's why even a little noise can wake him up, how can i help him?

Ignoring: Remember that we all have a normal amount of "partial awakenings" that we go through during the phases of sleep.  We almost wake up, you and I recognize we are in our bed, with our pillow, and roll over and go back to sleep.  Babies have these also. And this is where they learn to sleep on their own and self console.  The best you can do for him, is to let him learn how to console himself.

Big difference: Persons in a coma that is not induced by medication typically have damage to a part of their brain that governs sleep-wake cycles called the reticular activating system. They do not respond to the natural processes that wake us up after sleep. They cannot be awakened by loud noises or change in light. There are different levels of coma. Even people sleeping deeply have a normal nervous system.

No good OTCs: 55 yo female with difficulty sleeping due to loud noise and wants to know what to mix with benadryl (diphenhydramine). First of all, benadryl (diphenhydramine) is not a good medicine to rely on for sleep. The effects only last a few hours, might help you fall asleep but won't keep you asleep. There are no OTC meds I would recommend for sleep. You should try ear plugs for noise. Please see your primary care physician for further recs

The core success is achieved by uncovering the reason for the sleep disorder and using a Sleep Hygiene Program, which could be learned easily in your doctor's office.  An overnight sleep study may be useful in many cases.

May need sleep eval: Retire &amp; rise same time each day. Keep bedroom dark &amp; cool &amp; use only for sex &amp; sleep. Turn off tv. No naps. Exercise regularly but not in late evening. No caffeine for 6 hrs &amp; no alcohol or tobacco w/i 2 hrs of sleep. Keep dinner moderate sized &amp; finish at least 2 to 3 hrs before sleep. Can try warm milk, Chamomile tea or melatonin along w light reading, warm bath or lavender scent.

Vivid Dreams: Maybe poor sleep quality.  Vivid dreams usually means that you're awakening during the part of the sleep cycle that includes dreaming.  It may be related to the Alprazolam you're taking.  Talk to  your primary care doctor about a trial off the xanax (alprazolam).

Stop smoking: I bet if you didn't smoke, a young man like you wouldn't have a nightly chest cough. Stop smoking and lungs will clear. In the meantime try otc products to help with cough during sleep.
