Do lose weight!: Losing weight will certainly help both your swelling and the sleep apnea!  Will it cure both?  Depends on whether or not something else is causing either or both.  But both will improve with weight loss (usually!) and you will certainly be healthier if you lose weight. Go for it!  (High protein-low carb diets are not the way to go for most, these are causing their own set of med. problems.)

Edema: Edema or swollen feet are a sign of severe sleep apnea. If it's worse, then perhaps your CPAP settings are insufficient. Or  your oxygen levels may still be low, so added oxygen may be beneficial.  Also, your thyroid hormone could be checked since a deficiency can causes edema.
 Please consult your sleep specialist.

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

Discuss with your MD: All of these symptoms may be local musculo-skeletal problems but you need to talk to your doctor.  Cramps could be an electrolyte disorder.  One sided swelling could be venous insufficiency but it could be phlebitis.  The leg falling asleep is most likely a compression of a nerve while you are asleep.  However, you have a number of leg questions  that requires someone seeing you personally.

YES: Yes... Due to blockage of the airway with tonsil swelling or increased nasal resistance with a cold. If it is just contributing to poor rest and fatigue during the day... No big deal... If it produces (cyanosis) - turning blue... Eval by the er is mandatory.

It depends...: It all depends on what is the reason why you are having swelling. If you don't suffer of any illness a very common reason is what is called dependent edema if you stand up or are on your feet for a long time during the day. In that case elevation of your feet for 20-30 minutes can help. Also if you consume a lot of salt or sodium that can cause it so try to go low on that in your diet.

Foot swelling: is an accumulation of fluid in the foot, this can be from injury, venous problems, post surgical or infection. These types give you pitting edema, meaning when you press it leaves an indentation. Non-pitting edema usually occurs in lymphatic problems and is much harder to treat.
