2 problems: You have reason to be worried. Cavities are infections. They do not self heal. Treat them before infection spreads. Lesion on palate is there too long. May be draining abscess or something even more severe. You know what you have to do, see a Dentist IMMEDIATELY. You need professional care. Pills, poultices, salves, and the internet will not cure.

i have a bump on the roof of my mouth. looks like its got a white head on it but it also looks red/purple. ive been taking keflex and its like going up and down in size. its on my hard palate. im a 27 year old female ideas on what it could be?

i have at right top roof of mouth ( palate ) i have skin looks different some yellow kind of and some looks ripped skin and has red little veins its severe scratchy and everytime i breathe in air it irritates constantly , i feel extremely worried?

: You apparently don't have a sore throat as well, but your symptoms are consistent with inflammation.. Jaundice &amp; also carortenemia from eating too many carrots can cause yellow discoloration of the roof of the mouth, but I favor irritation or viral infection at this time.  Ifmouth rinses with warm salt water doesn't help, see your MD for evaluation &amp; testing.

i have noticed a purplish area on the roof of my mouth. my doctor said it is probably iyar where my veins meet and since the skin is thin i can see them. its right in the middle of my hard palate- no pain, irritation, or raised skin?

See an oral surgeon: There are sometimes small vessels in the posterior hard palate that can be visible, but you should have it checked by a specialist.

child eats tons of veggies every meal so skin is always baseline carotenemia like . eyes are very white, no trace of yellow. however, just noticed roof of mouth on the yellowish side. does white eye reassure mouth is not suggestive of jaundice ?

: Jaundice would definitely be visible in the whites of the eyes and urine would turn brownish. Carotenemia  does not show up in the whites of the eyes. If you still have concerns have your child's mouth examined by his/ her pediatrician.

: You might try some baking soda and warm salt water gargles.  Drink a lot of fluids, stay hydrated.  Get plenty of rest, and don’t smoke, if you do.  If you don’t gain any relief, seek medical attention.

Most common causes: would include damage from hot liquids or solids, mechanical damage.  There are other causes that are more concerning but hard to say without more information. Would recommend letting your doctor or dentist take a look at it if it persists.

See a Dentist: There are many,  many things that can cause soreness in the roof of your mouth.   The most common I have observed is inflamation due to dryness.  The second most common thing ive seen is ulcers, burns or cuts on the palate from hot, spicy or sharp food.   Best to have it looked at to narrow down the specific cause.
