See a Dentist: There are many, many things that can cause soreness in the roof of your mouth. The most common I have observed is inflamation due to dryness. The second most common thing ive seen is ulcers, burns or cuts on the palate from hot, spicy or sharp food. Best to have it looked at to narrow down the specific cause.

Probable tooth probl: Teeth cause 90% of pain in the head. You should get a complete evaluation by your dentist to rule out any tooth or gingival issues. Your dentist will also check for less common lesions of the mouth. You may have a more severe problem that would require getting more doctors involved but the statistics are way on your side of having a tooth problem so start there.
