Won't hurt: But probably won't help.  Sinus disease is notoriously difficult to treat.  Be wary, some herbal medications can cause problems with bleeding.

Antibiotics: If you have sinusitis, you should be taking antibiotics. Sinus problems are best managed by ENT docs.

Yes, you can: Allergies can also cause inflammation of your sinuses. Your symptoms can indicate so many different issues, including bruxism. If your symptoms last more than two weeks, see both your dentist and physician.

YES: Although nasal congestion is usually present in patients with acute/chronic sinusitis the infection itself can be primary and a part of a generalized "upper respiratory" infection. Bacterial infections of the sinus is often by organisms which "reside" there and are "activated" by a viral infection of the throat/nose upper airway.

2 separate problems: 1. A sinus infection or inflammation can cause a toothache, especially in the upper molars. These problems should be managed by your PCP or ENT. 2. Mouth sores (aphthous ulcers) are painful sores inside the mouth. The sore may be painful for three or four days, but complete healing usually takes ten to fifteen days. Canker sores may recur many times each year. No cure is available.

See an ENT: Ent specialists (ear nose & throat) would be a great place to start.  One the ENT resolves the sinusitis, if the pain persists you can go to see a dentist.

Not to my knowledge: Perhaps in very unusual cases it could happen if you have a severely disease maxillary sinus chronically and the roots of your teeth are bulging through the floor of the sinus.  Tumors of the maxillary may affect the teeth if the tumor erodes.  Sinusitis, however,  often causes dental pain, without any erosion.

if not teeth problems and no sinusitis, what are your ideas on curing bad breath?

Check teeth again: Do you still have your wisdom teeth? If so they tend to build up plaque which causes mouth odor. Do you floss every day? Rarely halitosis (bad breath) can come from diseased tonsils. Are they large or painful? Do you have symptoms of sinusitis (headache, fever, cough, nasal congestion)? Sinusitis can cause bad breath in some cases. Try flossing more and have wisdom teeth removed.

i have sinusitis and i have a stretching sensation in the teeth. is it possible to get gum bleeding because of this?

Accepted Answer

Not really: Altered sensation or temperature sensitivity in the teeth is common with sinusitis but not normally bleeding gums.  Gingivitis is usually the cause.  Only a dentist can diagnosis gingivitis.  To help avoid bleeding gums, massage your gums when you brush your teeth and floss daily.
