Depends: It depends on what type of 2nd degree AV block it was. There is usually 2 types and one of those types require permanent pacemaker. Please see a cardiologist asap.

i got a ecg for a upcoming surgery. it is abnormal sinus rhythm with 1st degree av block possible anterolateral infarct, age undetermined. is there cause for alarm not getting the surgery i need for breast cancer?

Tachycardia: normal heart rate is 60-100 bpm. Persistent  ongoing tachycardia  requires ongoing cardiology and metabolic evaluation and possibly medication to regulate heart rate. The first degree AV block is not dangerous; however the rste requires more evaluation including a 24 heart monitor and echocardiogram.

No: nothing on your Holter monitor findings is life threatening. Having said that, not sure of the clinical scenario that prompted you to get one to start with, nor do I know your age and/or if u r on any medicines that may cause some of this as a side-effect. Either have a frank discussion with the doctor ordering and interpreting your Holter or request a consult on this platform.

Not really related: Conduction system of  heart is as follows. Sa node is in the rt atrium.This fires & the impulse travels to the av node just above the venticles. There is a slight delay .Then the impulse goes to the vetricles via the bundle branch system. The left bundle to the left ventricle and rt bundle to the rt ventricle. So while fast rates can cause a rate depend bundle block , no opposite relationship.

Wiring of heart: Sinus rhythm means that the electrical activity that controls the contraction of the heart, starts in the sinus node. Right bundle branch block means that the right bundle (part of the electrical wiring) does not conduct the impulse which changes the appearance of the ekg. Right bundle branch block as opposed to left bundle branch block is usually benign.

Unremarkable: Incomplete right bundle branch can be a normal variant in 15% of the adult population. It does not carry any significance. Left bundle branch does. Further it refers to the conduction system of the heart, or electrical wiring of it so to speak, and it means your right ventricle gets a signal to pump few milliseconds after the left side. No worries.
