im 39 weeks pregnant and get lower belly cramps, rectum cramps as well. soon after i let gas out, the.cramps then go away. is it early signs of labor?

Maybe not: It sounds like you hare having cramping from gas.  The bowels are compressed by the enlarged uterus at 39 weeks and gas can cause some cramping.  Pregnant women at term get all sorts of strange sensations.  Its sometimes hard to sort them all out; however, labor pain isn't usually  associated with gas.  Labor involves regular contractions you can time with your watch every few minutes. Best wishes

If you don't want CS: Anytime you are pregnant and do not want/need cesarean section, you undergo a trial of labor. This has its own risks and should only be attempted in a maternity hospital.

Well: Some women get a burst of energy, not all, on some the water breaks, in some lose their mucous plug and in others they just start with contractions. Every labor is different, even for the same woman!

Please ask your OB: Any regular contractions or increased discharge, if u and baby is ok if u go into labor before 37 weeks  then your doc will try to stop it, if your water breaks then it won't be stopped, so if u are worried call now so premature labor can be prevented rather than treated, and i always get an ultrasound on all of my pts between 34-36 weeks so i know what is going on, and don't go past your due date.

Leakage of fluid: Requires evaluation.  Even though you may not be having contractions, potential rupture of membranes should be evaluated at labor and delivery.  This can be a sign that labor is about to start, but if it does not start it can lead to an infection if baby is not delivered within 24 hours.  Please go to labor and delivery where they will contact your doctor.

Something like that : I have observed that a large number of women experience chills after delivering. They experience uncontrollable shaking. It is relieved by or subsides by the time someone goes to get them a warm blanket. That would seem to be more of a "cold flash" than a hot one, but it may to be a similar sensation. As I am always on the catching side of the delivery, i can't say first hand, however...

Pack early!: It is best to get organized and have your bag ready a few weeks before your due date, so that when labor truly starts, you can just grab it and go.  In it, make sure you have your camera, cell phone, insurance information, any essential toiletries you want to bring.  Most importantly, make sure you know when and how to contact your OB at all times, and how to get to the hospital!
