Maybe not: It sounds like you hare having cramping from gas. The bowels are compressed by the enlarged uterus at 39 weeks and gas can cause some cramping. Pregnant women at term get all sorts of strange sensations. Its sometimes hard to sort them all out; however, labor pain isn't usually associated with gas. Labor involves regular contractions you can time with your watch every few minutes. Best wishes
