i think im consipated. i am only pooping small piece of poop. i take miralax (the dose that is on the instructions). can i take a little extra without any ill side effects? im 62 pounds and 4 foot 3 inch. i do have history of diverticulitis?

: At your age&amp;weight, don't exceed the maximum dose and only take once in a day. Are you taking in enough daily fiber and fluids? If you don't have an urge for a BM, try taking a bowel stimulant daily like senokotS per instructons and use Miralax as needed. Try to avoid a laxative habit. Check with your MD or a gastroenterologist if not improving.

Pregnacare: None, they are multivitamins containing 400mcg folic acid,  zinc, vitamins b6, b12, iron, magnesium, vitamin d, biotin & copper, as well as the nutrients; l-arginine, inositol, n-acetyl cysteine and betacarotene. They are essentially very well tolerated like any other vitamin supplement.

Corn starch : Nothing that i know of, but seeing your primary are to inspect the area my lead to some clues as to other treatment options.

Better BM's: It would seem you dr is trying to help make your bowel movements less hard.I agree with this approach.Add fiber from foods like whole grain cereals and fruits and veggies.

Align: Align is not a laxative and may not fulfill your goal of having a bowel movement every morning. There is no specific time of the day recommended, but for the ease of use would recommend in am. Please refer to aligngi.com. Gas and bloating are the most common side effects experienced with probiotics in general.

Laxative abuse: Some are electrolyte imbalances, with effects on brain, heart, kidneys and other vital organs.

GI mostly: Can cause diarrhea, cramps, elctrolyte (blood chemistry) abnormalities, rarely rash or throat irritation.

Growing: Formula fed babies have firmer stools, but every baby is different.  Your baby should be gaining weight.  Stools can vary from day to day.

Flu symptoms: Aldara (imiquimod) enhances your immune system to attack hpv and warts in the applied area. However, your body reacts feeling like you're coming down with the flu. Take some Acetaminophen and you should feel better.

Prednisone: Bad smelling breath, stool can be due to colitis (most likely) &amp; prednisone. Are you on an antibiotic? If you are having worsening diarrhea, consult with us as some bacteria can cause particularly bad smelling stool.
