Magnesium: If chelated magnesium sets well with you then that is the best form of magnesium for you.  Having good levels of magnesium and other healthy minerals is important in staying healthy.  Live a healthy livestyle, do not smoke or take recreational drugs, or use very much alcohol.

No : Avoid supplementing with magnesium if you have kidney problems or if you are taking a tetracycline, aminoglycoside or quinolone antibiotic; a muscle relaxant like orphenadrine; a potassium-sparing diuretic; a bisphosphonate; or a hypertension drug such as verapamil or nifedipine.

: Certainly.  These are reasonable doses of vitamins and should not cause a problem assuming the rest of  you is well!  However, it begs the question:  what do you expect the magnesium to help your body with?

Not really : Mg doesn't have this side effect as long as u r not taking more than the fda guidelines rec.

Best talk to MD: Medications we give like atenolol have limits, i.e., the heart rate and blood pressure. Chemicals or nutrients even have no limits until they are toxic. If you use magnesium, you can only know the extent of maximum dose when you develop toxicity and you don't want that. It is best to talk to your md about amounts of medicines you take.

Magnesium: If possible, stop taking medicines that can decease your magnesium absorption, such as proton pump inhibitors (e.g., proposed, prevacid, medium, protonix, (pantoprazole) etc). Minimize the doses of diuretics other than Amiloride (which can help raise your magnesium level.).

Mg citrate: If using it as a laxative -  you may be creating a situation where your body becomes dependent on it to have a BM.    Otherwise  - i might be concerned about the amount of magnesium your body is absorbing.       I would talk to your doctor about this  - rarely should constipation last this long.    Also a serum magnesium level might be appropriate     Good luck
