Not really : Mg doesn't have this side effect as long as u r not taking more than the fda guidelines rec.

Indirectly: Magnesium & calcium work together & need to be balanced. If supplementing magnesium, should also supplement calcium (or get plenty of calcium in diet). Generally intake of calcium should be twice the dose of magnesium. Potassium's also important; so eat foods rich in magnesium, calcium, & potassium. Extra fiber may be necessary since calcium tends to constipate. Heat & stretching will help too.
