: CA 125 is not a good test for diagnosis of ovarian cancer. It can be used to monitor the disease once the diagnosis is made. There are other causes of elevation of CA 125 than do not involve cancer.

is rectal bleeding a sympt of ovarian cancer? i am getting conflicting info on the web. i read o cancer doesn't erode into the organs so it doesn't cause rectal bleeding. that was from a gyn oncologis

Usually not.: Rectal bleeding is usually caused by hemorrhoids, less frequently anal or rectal cancer.

Ovarian cancer usually presents with other symptoms before rectal bleeding.

Not very reliable: Ultrasound, ct, tumor marker evaluation, history, and physical exam have not been shown to be effective in adequately screening for this disease (even when used all together). This is a disease we don't really have a handle on right now. This doesn't mean patients who have pelvic pain or risk factors shouldn't be evaluated, but the tools available have not been shown to increase life expectancy.

i may have an abnormal he 4 blood test. do i have ovarian cancer. i have an ovarian cyst 3.4 cm which is being monitored with transvaginal ultrasounds?

An abnormal HE-4: Is not good but what is the ca-125 or did they do an ova-1? And if you are not , you should be referred to a gyn oncologist for evaluation and is not hard to remove that ovary through the davinci or laparoscope if necessary, as at your age the ovary is worthless and hopefully it will be benign.

: Ca125 elevations may be caused by processes other than ovarian cancer, however, see a GYN oncologist for guidance, as not all ovarian cancer will show up on ultrasound, and a diagnostic laparoscopy may be indicated.

Several tests done.: Pain and bloating can be signs of ovarian cancer, but they can be just from a painful period.  Ovarian cancer would be more likely in older women, like 40+ years, and most likely in women 70+ years.  Other tests, like pelvic exam, ca-125, and transvaginal ultrasound would be needed.  The ultimate way to know is surgery to see if it is in fact, a tumor of something else.

Possibly : If it has metastasized to other parts of the body such as the spinal cord, then there is a possibility. I would ask your oncologist to look further into this if you are having numbness in your legs and feet. Also if you are getting chemo therapy, this may be the cause of the swelling and numbness in your legs and feet vs the cancer. However, do ask you doctor who is treating you.

i have all the symptoms of ovarian cancer and they are worsening. doc did an external ultrasound and pelvic ct and has told me theres nothing wrong. i have sharp pain in the right ovary area which is excruciating during sex. did they miss something?

: Probably as your symptoms remain largely unexplained and while work up so far is reassuring as far as ovarian cancer, local inflammation of a different etiology remains likely. Establishing and following up with an Obs-Gyn would be best in trying to elucidate the cause for your symptoms.

Unlikely: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, what you described does not suggest ovarian cancer.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
