Is rectal bleeding a sympt of ovarian cancer? i am getting conflicting info on the web. i read o cancer doesn't erode into the organs so it doesn't cause rectal bleeding. that was from a gyn oncologis

Usually not.: Rectal bleeding is usually caused by hemorrhoids, less frequently anal or rectal cancer. Ovarian cancer usually presents with other symptoms before rectal bleeding.

Rare and late event: In advanced ovarian cancer, cancer cells can get stuck on bowel wall and may invade through the wall causing complications such as bleeding. However, since you do not have ovarian cancer, rectal bleeding as a sign of overian cancer is unlikely. If rectal bleeding persists, see your docor for an evaluation.

Extremely unlikely: Ovarian cancer can, with enough time, can invade into the rectum and cause bleeding, but it would have to be at advanced stage at that point. In reality, it's rare for ovarian cancer to present with rectal bleeding, especially at your age. Far more likely there is a gastrointestinal issue. See your doctor to be evaluated for this.
