See OB/GYN: Please see an ob/gyn, besides looking at the secretion under microscop will run a full std panel on you make sure you are not harboring other infections you are not aware of , that can adversely impact your health.

Bacterial Vaginosis: -Yogurt . Eat 2 cups of Plain cultured  yogurt daily . Dip a tampon in plain cultured yogurt &amp; insert in vagina for two hours &amp; remove . Do this 3 times a day .It contains Lactobacillus .
-Insert Boric acid suppositories into Vagina for soothing effect 
-3% Hydrogen Peroxide . Mix with equal amounts of water &amp; use as douche .
-Use cotton panties . avoid smoking &amp; alcohol 
Stay clean .

i suspect i might have bacterial vaginosis and would like to know if i really need to see a doctor or if i can just get over the counter medication?

Yes see a doctor: In the United states there is no over the counter medication available for bacterial vaginosis.  I am not sure if it is available in other countries.  First line medication would be flagyl or metronidazole.  It is better to see a doctor to be evaluated

i have bacterial vaginosis. i got an antibiotic from my doctor, but i have been eating yogurt and it has been helping. should i still take the antibiotic?

I : I would ask the doctor who prescribed it.  There are some serious bacterial infections. Regular yogurt has predominantly dead cultures. To get good probiotic levels think of kefir, greek yogurt and otc probiotics.

Recommendation: Seek out someone who is board certified and convenient to your home or work.  You can always check online for health grades as well.  Bv is easily treated, but recurrent BV may require more than one visit and changes to you vaginal hygiene.  
You local hospital should have a list of board certified gyns on their websites physician search.

Bacterial vaginosis: Without knowing how you were treated and whether your sexual partner was simultaneously given an antibiotic topically on his penis the best thing to do is to discuss this with your doctor. Although not truly a std this can be given back to you by organisms resident on your partner's penis.

my doctor thinks i have bacterial vaginosis. when i have sex it starts smelling fishy and we dont use condoms. i cant meet with her so what can i do in the mean time to help it? i take cranberry pills twice a day. also, i was a virgin 2 months ago?

Get test: give swab specimen to your MD/Urologist to check and you dont have to be seen to get medicine for it

i was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis so my doctor put me on metronidazole gel for 5 days. i only took the medication for 3 days because my period came so i missed 2 days of it. should i start the medication again today and take the 2 days i miss?

Call prescriber: You did. It mention if symptoms are still present, but do phone the prescriber and discuss with him/her as that is the best advice!

hello! im 19 weeks pregnant and i recently i just found out i had bacterial vaginosis and my doctor prescribed me to metronidazole 500mg.on the bottle its stated take 4 tablets my mouth with meals for one day. do i take all them at the same time?

No: Bacterial vaginosis and endometriosis have not been known to be related. Bacterial vaginosis is an infection the occasionally chronic in the vaginal area. Endometriosis is a disease of the pelvis where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, bladder, and even the bowel.
