Aggravated foot...: You may have aggravated your arthritic foot. You may need  relative rest, ice packs, compression, elevation, and anti-inflammatory measures. If it does not get better, see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

how can i choose a shoe for best leg and foot support?

Depends: Depends on the diagnosis. If u have ankle instability or has foot drop, then a high cut shoe is better for better ankle support.

stay at home mom , socks only most time.can it cause bunions on side of foot? what can i do to correct other than shoes w/ support?

Barefoot and bunions: Going without shoes does not cause bunions.  If you have a biomechanics imbalance in your feet which will pre-dispose you to bunion formation, it doesn't matter if you wear shoes or not.  The only way to slow the progress of a bunion forming is to wear a proper functional orthosis in the shoes.

can my pcp order a x ray or something of top of foot. do i really need a podiatrist or what.  got new shoes w support but very painful?

Yes: You can start by going to your pcp to evaluate the pain and whether an x ray will be beneficial. No need to go directly to a podiatrist.

crps in foot after foot fx, failed orif. trouble with shoes- need support for still healing fx, but crps pain and sensitivity make it hard. any ideas?

Consider sympathetic: Consider sympathetic nerve  blocks. Ask your pain specialist or your  neurologist

i fractured my big toe at the base of the toe, over the ball of my foot. i am 73 and work as a crossing guard. i had a boot, so have been wearing that whenever i have to be out. dr said switch to flat ortho shoe, not good support.what do you think?

: You are concerned about the fracture not support. The doctor was recommending a shoe with a rigid sole shoe to prevent flexion/extension at the fracture site. Until the fracture heals all else is secondary   After healing a supportive shoe is appropriate for standing

stress fracture in my foot about three almost 4 years ago i still get pain in that same spot if i'm on my feet for longer then an hour with supported shoes why would i be still having pain from it and how can i help it?

Podiatrist: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a podiatrist as use of orthotics may help.

currently have leg pain from a muscle spasm
knee was hurting one week
i thought it was due to my high arches + no support in shoes
i have some hip pain but the leg pain lasted about two weeks

See doctor: Now this rash could be an issue. You need to give more history. Do you go camping or are you outside a lot. See a doctor for exam and testing

Multiple treatments: There are a number of ways to treat heel pain. Oral anti inflamatory medication, steroid injections, streaching, orthotics, ultasound, and physical therapy.  It is best to see your podiatrist and have him diagnose and treat your heel pain.

how do i stretch my new shoes out without wearing them so they don't cut my heels so often?

My rule of thumb: is if they don't fit on first try on, then you don't get them..i'm not into "breaking in the shoes", particularly not at the expense of your feet getting irritated...
