Treat the ulcer...: The syphilis ulcer is real syphilis, and should be treated without delay. If not treated, or ifinadequately treated, it can spread to the rest of the body, including the brain. The time it takes to spread to the rest of the body can vary from one person to the next, so the best thing to do is to get treated as early as possible.

dear doc, after 2 years potential exposure & there is no tpha in my place, i took rpr, vdrl & rapid sifilis, the result is negative, i did re-test until 3 times and all of it come back negative, is it conclusive after 2 years of potential exposure?

: Yes, conclusive. The rapid syphilis test is a valid confirmatory test, equivalent to TPHA. The combination of negative RPR (or VDRL) and negative rapid test proves you do not have syphilis. Stop testing!

last dec. my inner right knee started hurting after working 12 hour shift.i dont remember injuring it at all. in dec i had pain when walking and difficulty bending for weeks. today, it still bothers me when i bend it wrong. no trauma. inside of knee?

Knee pain: You're too young for osteoarthritis of the knee. I suspect internal derangement of the knee such as cartilage damage. I recommend consulting an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation. Appropriate testing will be done which will most likely include an xray and/or MRI.
