Rc tendinitis or...: Bursitis. You most likely flared up your rotator cuff. As a result overhead activity hurts because your rotator cuff bangs against your shoulder blade (acrimonious) and causes impingement. Limit your overhead activity, get on some nsaids for a few days and Ice. If. It better you might need some guided PT or a cortisone injection.

Bursitis: This could be a condition known as shoulder impingement or bursitis. It could also be a mild case of frozen shoulder (mild because your movement restriction sounds minimal)   none of these are "serious" but likely needs an evaluation.

Muscular Pain?: Hi, your recent onset of symptoms and your age suggest that at this point the most likely diagnosis is that you have a shoulder/upper back/neck strain. You don't describe radicular symptoms that would suggest a neurologic etiology. Initial treatment after an H&amp;P and imaging usually starts with NSAIDs and maybe a muscle relaxer and also some therapy exercises to see if your symptoms will get better

Any : Any chest pain must always be taken seriously.  Cardiac pain can present in many different ways, but is often beneath the sternum (substernal), can radiate to the neck or arms, and is often associated with palpitations, sweating, and nausea.  Pain from the aorta, the large blood vessel in the chest, can send pain to the back, and can cause blood pressure discrepancies in the arms.  Pain from the esophagus or from the lungs can cause chest pain.  Muscle pain can also cause chest pain, often for no discernable reason.  If a patient is having new chest pain with other symptoms, then they should seek out a medical evaluation.

Ribs: Sharp pain in the breast may be related to a "jammed" rib , called intercostal neuralgia. The pain is sharp and stabbing, may be in the front or back. A related condition is costochondritis, which is an inflammation of the cartilage where the ribs attach to the breastbone (sternum).

Throwing pain: Pain with overhand throwing in a 45 year old may be as simple as a tight capsule in the back of the shoulder.  This can be  simply treated with stretching.  More significant injuries may be a tear of the labrum or rotator cuff tendons.  You should be evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in shoulder problems.

An internet answer can not replace a physician evaluation, history and prognosis but one must consider that an arthritic process can cause multiple joint pains during a flu infection.  Other medical problems need to be excluded therefore a trip to your personal physician is needed.
