i've had neck pain for 2 weeks now. when i try to tilt my head back there is a sharp pain down my back muscles. is there a stretch to loosen this?

Not normal: You should see your doctor about this. The symptoms of sharp pain when tilting your head back is worrisome for some type of nerve entrapment or infection. If you are having fever, numbness, or headache, please seek urgent medical attention. Otherwise, please see your primary care doctor as soon as possible.

got put in hard headlock and now neck muscle are sore to touch  and  feel pain when turning neck..not sharp pain just like stiff neck pain.what to do?

Neck pain trauma: Most muscular injuries will resolve over two-three weeks. Rest, heat, ice, and nonsteroid medications (ibuprofen or naprosyn) are the mainstay or early treatment.  If pain radiates to your arms with or without arm weakness, difficulty walking or urinating occurs, urgent evaluation is indicated. Physical therapy and rehabilitation will improve injuries resistant to initial conservative management.

See below: Heat and nsaids are a good start.  Try massage.  If all that fails your pcp can prescribe a muscle relaxer.

Neck pain: Cervical muscle spasm or strain. Do range of motion exercises, take ibuprofen, do yoga, get massage, don't stare at screens too long

Excercises: Always need to evaluate which one is the source of the pain, maybe stress, maybe bad posture, it's important to treat the cause and not only treat the pain or stiffness. I attach an infographic of some exercises.

good day. i am a 34 year old male with extreme neck pain in the left side where my shoulder and neck muscles meet i have numbness in my small fingers and neck spasm everyday at the moment i struggle i can't move my neck or even lay down due to pain?

Neck pain: Neck pain associated with radiation to left small finger is associated with a C8 problem. So likely some type of impingement associated with nerve being irritated at that vertebrae. Other possibilities include irritation to nerves of brachial plexus which come down your neck and irritation of nerve at shoulder.

Neck pain: Can have many causes and the rigors of hip hop dancing certainly can aggravate the pain.  I recommend an in person evaluation.

You may have a: pinched nerve in the neck.The weakness is concerning and requires a work up.See a Neurologist or start with your family doc.The twitching goes along with weakness when the nerves to a muscle are compromised( fasciculations).This requires prompt attention and could be from a herniated disc in the neck or another process that has compromised the nerves.Good luck

what is this sharp pain in the top right of my head? it is typically a fleeting pain, but it happens multiple times a week in a localized spot. i have no other symptoms, but i do have mild neck pain. the pain sometimes happens when i am stressed

Doctor should check: Most people get a headache at some time, such as from colds, infections, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc...  Some temporary OTC options people try include Tylenol, Motrin or Advil, Aleve, etc...  A bad or increasing headache, recurrent headache (as in this case), weird headache, or with other worrisome symptoms should be evaluated.

symptoms as follows: muscle ache all over, sharp pain like needles in legs ,left shoulder,left and right side biceps. lightheaded and nauseous. feels as if here is an obstruction in my throat when i swallow. have been for multiple ecg's , all fine?

Time: How long has your symptoms been there? Covid infection? If long I suggest you drink PPI- anti-acid such as Topzole OTC 20mg daily for two weeks. Silent reflux can cause swlling in throat, pain to left shoulder, nausea and even coughing.
