Ankle: How do you know it is not in the bone  ?   You need an exam and  xrays.  It sounds like you may have a piece of cartilage or bone in the joint that may be causing your pain.  Certainly a better history and exam will shed light on. This.  See your podiatrist.

Ankle pain: when jumping can be a sign of a ligament injury, cartilage damage or tendonitis.   This can be prevented and/or treated after getting an exam done.  Check with a Podiatrist for proper diagnosis and treatment plan if needed.  Make sure to always stretch well before and after any activity!

Sprain/ inflammation: Gout and arthritis can present this way if no hx of trauma. STD is a possibility in your age group.

i went to pt a year ago for scarring on left ankle confirmed by mri. all was well up until last month. now i have sudden sharp pain & lose my balance.

Consult ortho: Scarring usually follows an ankle sprain . And some time it needs to be removed as it destabilize the ankle and make the ankle prone to more injuries .I suggest you consult your Orthpedic Doctor or Podistrist to  get it evuated.Meanehile rest your ankle if possible by using crutches

Med eval.: There could be a number of reasons for that pain. If it isn't resolving, consider an evaluation by a podiatrist.

VERY HARD TO ANSWER: with no injury a hands on exam is needed. could be due to phlebitis as a woman in your age group. Your PCP is a good place to start. more so if by the end of the day you have swelling of that leg. you would see imprints from sox, or shoes fitting tightly by end of the day.

i have pain on both sides of my left ankle.. pain shoots up the leg into the calf..little to no swelling. pain when on and off it..,tryed ice.

Hard to say: I am not sure what type of work you do or type of shoes you wear. If you stand up for a long time, wearing high heeled shoes, this may be reason for suck pain. Please consider seeing a podiatrist or orthopod for evaluation. also what type of pain? Is id dull pain, sharp shooting pain?

lateral malleolus fracture of right ankle.  they do not show in current xrays.  how is that possible & would it acct 4 my ankle pain now?

Possibly: Sounds like u had bilateral ankle fx.'s @ age 21.Apparently no surgery? . 28 years later (if your fractures required no surgery) then it wouldn't be unusual to see " normal" appearing ankle bones since your fractures were minimally or non- displaced.See an orthopedic surgeon now for evaluation. Your pain now may be unrelated... Or u could be developing subtle arthritic changes best seen on mri.

i have a cyst on my left wrist, left shoulder pain, left hip pain like a pinched sciatic, left knee pain, and left ankle pain. coincidence? left side?

Left Side Pain: Have you had your back checked?  All this sounds like it may stem from the nerves from the spine.  I would see an orthopod spine specialists or neurologist.
