Ankle pain: when jumping can be a sign of a ligament injury, cartilage damage or tendonitis. This can be prevented and/or treated after getting an exam done. Check with a Podiatrist for proper diagnosis and treatment plan if needed. Make sure to always stretch well before and after any activity!

There could be many: I would suggest you see a foot/ankle doc before resuming play or possibly make your condition worse.

Cease and desist.: What ever the cause is, it is hard to imagine that any further aggressive activity, is helping. Try giving it a rest for a few days and see if the pain reduces. Without an examination, there is no reason to believe that the problem will or will not resolve. To remove all doubt, consult with a Healthtap specialist for a specific diagnosis, treatment, possible imagery and treatment possibilities.
