i have bad periods.i have severe cramps and i skip months.im cramping now but not bleeding , what can i do for the pain ?(not on birth control no more)

Cramps: Nsaid’s, ssri’s, hormone meds, otc meds containing diuretics, warm bath, heating pad, exercise & acupuncture are excellent for dysmenorrhea. Avoid caffeine, chocolate, alcohol & salt. Get gyn eval to r/o underlying pathology. Consider omega- 3 fatty acids, magnesium (supplementation or through diet) or black cohosh with dr ok. Sipping sipping chamomile & green tea can dissipate pain. Get evaluated.

Yes: Hormones or birth control pills can cause irregular periods and spotting.anytime Periods are irregular I recommend you check pregnancy test to make sure you're not pregnant

Take preg test: Are you currently using any form of birth control? If you're not, and there is a chance you may be pregnant, you should take a pregnancy test to see if this is the cause of your symptoms. If you have recently started using some sort of birth control (or are using it to skip a period), these symptoms can be very common. You may also want to be evaluated for other menstrual disorders by your doctori.

Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time)  is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users especially if you are missing pills. If missing pills you may not be adequately protected against pregnancy either. Consider changing to a non daily method like an IUD or Implant for better protection and cycle control.

Could be normal: Periods can be irregular in your teenage years soon after first starting.  However, there are also certain conditions that can cause irregular or infrequent menses, such as PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), stress, or other things. If you are concerned, a visit to your ob/gyn or PCP is recommended for further evaluation.

Implantation bleed: Some women may experience menstrual cramps in early stages of pregnancy as result of 'implantation bleed', as the embryo implants into the lining of the uterus. The small of amount of bleeding may irritate the uterus and may cause the uterine discomfort.

Sure: Menstruation is a process of hormonal fluctuations which promote the normal maintanance of the reproductive system. In early pregancy, there can be blood spotting and cramping as hormones adjust for the pregnancy. If you have any question, go get a urine pregnancy test.

4thweek?: The placebos are usually the last 4to7 in pill pack.You have a thyroid condition which may also affect the amount of bleeding
