A member asked:

I have an irregular period. i skip every 2-3 months and when it does happen i have very mild cramps. what causes this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be normal: Periods can be irregular in your teenage years soon after first starting. However, there are also certain conditions that can cause irregular or infrequent menses, such as PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), stress, or other things. If you are concerned, a visit to your ob/gyn or PCP is recommended for further evaluation.
