Adjust thyroid and +: B"sd based on your TSH your thyroid status is a little low, so you should need some adjustment of your thyroid medication or make sure you are not missing doses as only a few missed pill per month can make a difference from great TSH ~ 1 to your value.  Menopausal sx's and others need attention. Available to discuss details.

Seek treatment: Seek treatment. See your family md or a psychiatrist. Medications can be very helpful. Often, use of meds. With psychotherapy works the best. Exercise regularly, consider yoga, meditation, relaxation, get good sleep.

Anxiety: by any name is something that can be treated and life can get better.  You MAY have generalized anxiety disorder.  Please see a clinical psychologist who wokr w/mood disorders.  Ask about clinical hypnosis (www.asch.net) or other modalities he/she uses.  Some pros employ cognitive behavioral therapy.  Lots of reasons to be hopeful. Peace and good health.

hello...i'm suffering from severe anxiety disorder....i'm taking nexito .5...but it's not working...it's been 2 weeks...what to do?

Time and dose: Nexito or Lexapro (escitalopram) can help anxiety over time (4-6 wks) and at a sufficient dose; but it could be you might do better with citalopram that tends to be somewhat more sedating, therefore perhaps more helpful for anxiety. Nefazodone and many other medications can also be helpful for anxiety without being addicting as the benzodiazepines can be. Recommend talking with your provider.

Please seek help: Being a new parent is stressful under the most normal of circumstances.  With symptoms such as yours, it can be even more challenging.  Please seek mental health support as soon as possible to help you with treatment of your anxiety.

Well, exhaustion, : Long distance travel, change in sleep schedule  can all contribute to ^ anxiety. Would anticipate that as you settle in that  sxs will decrease. Would encourage you to engage in some self care. Ways to address stress. Talk about feelings ; address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk &gt;.

Only too many: All I have to say, is that I have treated a lot of MD's and medical students, and most of the are  committed to their medical career or respective work. They usually respond well after taking a step to get help. This is at times difficult, most of all because we feel this might be a stigma or signs of being unsuitable to be a healer. Expectations of self-healing is high among us, for sure.

Ten sessions is: not a long time to make progress w/anxiety disorder but some progress can be made.  Every case is different.  You can start w/ten sessions and see where you are.  After a few months sessions may taper to 2-3 weeks apart. What the person does between sessions (eg, practice) is vital to progress.  You can do it.  Peace and good health.

mild weird feeling that lasts 1-2 seconds almost like mild dyspnea. can mild dyspnea last 1-2 seconds? i have severe anxiety disorder. is anxiety?

MAYBE CHECK FURTHER: At your age physical causes of dyspnea are possible, but most likely it is part of the anxiety disorder. However, to be sure do have your internist do a complete workup.  
If you are not getting therapy and meds for anxiety disorder it is time.

have severe anxiety disorder. i get very shaky and anxious especially after consuming high amounts of sugar. worried i have hypoglycemia. no diabetes.

Some suggestions: Find a CBT therapist you can work well with.
Don't consume high amounts of sugar.
Discuss your concern w/ the Dr who gave you neg results for diabetes - they'll have that info.
