Minimal discomfort: Assuming 1]this is of the skin, 2]cometent surgeon] 3] reasonable patient: the procedure is commonly done under local anesthesia, as an out patient. The experience should e less trying than dental work.

Almost none.: Most of these cysts can be done under local and present very little risk. There are certain problems some patients can have with local but it is rare. Problems can occur more frequently with general but these are rare as well. Have your cyst out and relax.

U may: wait if it is shrinking . you may not notice it after a while. u may do surgery anytime.

Not sure.: I've removed hundreds of cysts from earlobes, and never had to remove the earlobe itself, even when the cyst was very large. I'm not sure why your brother's doctor would tell you that.

Very common: Sebaceous cysts reoccur if the capsule they reside in is not removed completely
I would see a general surgeon and have the entire cyst excised including the entire sac

Will need treatment: The cyst will not go away on its own and will occasionally flare up and cause you pain and discomfort, even if you are able to treat it successfully for the time being with antibiotics. It will be much better to cool it off with antibiotics and then have your plastic surgeon remove it entirely. The surgeon must remove the entire capsule with it to avoid a recurrence.

Sebaceous cyst: If your doc had diagnosed this a a sebaceous cyst ask him/her about removing it.  It the sack of the cyst is not removed it can keep refilling.  It is an easy in office procedure.  Peace and good health.

sebaceous cyst drained. yes i guess i should remove it. but i am stuck in istanbul,tr and not in my own country! can i remove this cyst later at a safer time? or do i need to do it right now? btw i'm w/my asthmatic mom and don't want to take risk.

Depends: If it is not infected or ruptured, you can wait. It is not an urgent issue. It is a benign lesion.
