Normal stretching: Unless the pain is sharp shooting, consistent, persistent, and lasting even after you get back up, the pain is most likely related to the stretching of the round ligaments of the uterus and can be helped sometimes with a belly band to support the weight of the uterus in your pelvis.

Question 2

bent over while seated or turning head. i get lightheaded, sweaty, and nauseous. is this something to be concerned about? what could be causing this?

BPPV: You may have benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (bppv).  This is a benign inner ear condition caused by loose calcium carbonate stones in the inner ear.  Have an ENT doctor evaluate this possibility.

have l-4 l-5 herniated discs.  now stuck in bent over position and can't straighten up. lots of pain. what should i do?

Accepted Answer

For now, get into a : Fetal position on your side to reduce symptoms and take some OTC meds if no contraindications. May need to see a physician and get some additional types of medication and PT referral or even a possible epidural steroid injection if symptoms don't improve but 90% of disc herniations are treated without surgery.

Possibly: Please see your health care provider if the problem worsens or persists to be evaluated for a bulging or ruptured inter-vertebral disk.

how do i get up from a bent-over position if i have back pain?

See below: It is helpful to try to move first from the hips which are lower than the low back. This may take some practice and work with a physical therapist or a doctor familiar with this technique. The idea is to move your spine last. This is really easy to learn but you must practice.

Inflammation: While this could be due to various reasons we think about pleuritis(inflammation of the covering around lungs) or pericarditis(inflammation around covering over heart).  Advise to get thoroughly evaluated.

Lumbar strain: It is likely that you have strained your lower back. This occurs as a result  stretching the  ligaments and muscles of your spine beyond their limit causing acute pain. Treatment should consist of icing for the first 72 hours at 4-6 hour intervals when awake, using anti- inflammatory meds, avoidance of heavy lifting, bending, and squatting.. Physical therapy can also be recommended. Good luck!

: Coughing, even coughing hard, should not cause splenic rupture.  Causes of splenic rupture are generally traumatic, such as a motor vehicle accident with rapid acceleration/deceleration.

i bent over ti pick up my kitten an something happened to my very lower back....like paralyzing what could cause this?

Ouch!: Even minor injury can cause back pain,There are many muscles in the back,  Stress or stretch one of them in the wrong way and the pain can stop you in your tracks.  Most of the time it's just a minor muscle strain  But the strain causes pain, the pain causes tension &amp; tension causes more pain.  It usually resolves w/ a few days of "taking it easy", OTC pain relievers, heat and gentle stretching.

pain on my back right side when i take a deep breath. this just started today after i bent over to pick something up off the floor?

Sounds like: you may have a pinched nerve in your upper spine. Try HEAT or ICE (or BOTH (alternate)whichever helps most1 and if symptoms continue see your primary care provider.
