what is the best scratched eye treatment?

Depends: The best treatment is whichever treatment your eye doctor feels most comfortable with. Depending on when they trained is the treatment that one will receive. If they trained earlier, the treatment could be the placement of an antibiotic ointment, a drop to relax the iris and then a patch or contact lens would be placed . Nowadays, many are not patching the eye and just use topical lubricants.

Doesn't matter: That's a high dose for chronic maintenance of dry eye.  A dose of 25 or 50 mg is more common.  The time of day is not important with this medication but you should avoid dairy products or any calcium containing supplements for an hour or two before and after taking this medication.

i was told that lasik healing time is 3-6 months. it is now a year later and i still have post lasik dry-eye is it permanent?

Likely: If you are still having dry eye symptoms a year after lasik, this is not going away.  There are very good treatments for this.  See your ophthalmologist to discuss the options.

: Certainly avoid any additional trauma to your eyes! However, if you have no pain and your sight is unchanged, it is unlikely that you've done any significant damage. If the sight is affected or you have pain, see an ophthalmologist.

Clean lubrication: Your tears are clean natural lubrication. This will help the scratch to heal. This should improve in a couple of days. If this is not resolving or you develop significant drainage and matting of the eye you should be assessed.

: One should see the Eye Doctor, Ophthalmologist to examine the eye as soon as possible. Because steam burn could lead to scar tissue formation and visual problems in the future.

SLT vs Drops: It depends on the level if control needed and the stage of glaucoma as well as the cause of the condition.  Slt done early in the stage has as good a result as any eye drops and for a linger time compared to one dose of medicatin. However it is most effective in open angle glaucoma.  The effect is not permanent and follow up is an important part of managing any glaucoma.
