Scratched eardrum?: How do you know you have a scratched ear drum? You should see an ear nose and throat specialist to check the condition of your ear drum and prescribe any appropriate treatment. In the mean time, keep your ears dry.

Ear canal injury: It sounds like your daughter has some dead skin in the canal from the minor injury.  The yellow looking skin is now called scale or squamous debris.  That is dead skin and it is common and normal for anywhere on the body, but in the ear, that stuff accumulates or just sits there.  There may also be some wax associated with it. Warm compress: A warm compress and Ibuprofen may help to relieve the pain. There are different formulations and your pharmacist can assist. Typically the ear drops are instilled twice daily for 7 days.

Avoid scratching: If that means places a bandaid/tape over the area to avoid further traumatization then so be it.  If it continues to bleed, hold gentle pressure for fiver minutes or so with a tissue paper or gauze then gently remove the paper/gauze.

Ear issue: Tough to say why she scratches inside her ear to the point of bleeding.  Have her see a Pediatric ENT dr, to get a full examination of the ear canal.  She may have a skin conditions "Inside" her ear that is constantly itching her, and until the dermatitis is treated, she will be itching.  Best wishes.

It will get better: If you have broken the skin, then soap and water perhaps followed by some peroxide is in order.
