Ear canal injury: It sounds like your daughter has some dead skin in the canal from the minor injury. The yellow looking skin is now called scale or squamous debris. That is dead skin and it is common and normal for anywhere on the body, but in the ear, that stuff accumulates or just sits there. There may also be some wax associated with it. No need for concern.
