I don't believe we : Have studies regarding this except for those cases where the psychotropic agent is being used to treat a totally separate medical condition. In those cases the side effect profiles appear to be the same. I would expect the risks and dangers would be the same any person without psychiatric illness but the benefits would be lacking obviously. Interesting question. Best wishes.

It depends on the cause and severity of the kidney problem, so this question is best directed to your personal MD or a kidney specialist (nephrologist). Yes you can: Drug allergies to chemo drugs are rare. If you have allergy to one of them, it is unlikely that you will have the same problem with other chemo drugs. So your oncologist will be happy to switch you to other drugs most of the time.

RA: Medicine is full of mystery and surprises. RA probably has a host of possible autoimmune triggers. So yes, its possible, but it suggests some other change in this person's life. Either his autoimmune trigger is being blocked (new med, food etc) or the triggering agent(s) have been removed from exposure.

Re-evaluate: Your blood pressure is on the slightly lowish side, but perhaps not too low.  It does depend a lot on symptoms such as fatigue, lightheadedness, palpitations, etc.  What, if anything, have you changed during these last 2 years?  Perhaps you are consuming less salt or have lost weight.  Speak to your doctor.  Perhaps it is time to stop or at least reduce the dose of one of your pressure medications.

Catatonia refuse med: Catatonia can go with schizophrenia or bipolar states.  They occur as overexcited, confused acting indiv, or the seeming opposite, frozen like a statue you can put into a pose and they hold it='waxy flexibility'.  If catatonia leads to grave disability or unable to really care for self, invol civil commitments cd help get meds. Courts can order some commitments to take psych meds. Not easy process.

Some are: apparently, though it  must be difficult.  Some recent evidence suggests that psilocybin can help stabilize emotions near the end of life.  Ask the doctor if there is anything else to offer other than pain meds.  For example, Ketamine can work for pain relief and it is an antidepressant.  Good luck!

Momentary happiness: This temporary happiness does not last and it exposes you to tendency to increase the dose of the pain medicine because it looses its degree of effectiveness as you continue to use it leading to addiction and many mood complications. You should only use it for a very severe untolerable pain to avoid loosing its benefit.
