my child of 1year has had a cold for more than a week now and i recently noticed her left eye is bringing out a little white discharge when she sleeps. am currently using saline drops to free the nose but what can i use to treat her completely?

: Minimal conjunctivitis causing " a little with discharge" is probably a part of viral illness.  Unless infant develops fever, redness with swelling of eyelid(s), or purulent discharge, watch and see would be all she needs.

Flush: Blinking and flushing your eyes with eye drops might help.  If the redness doesn't get better then it might be a good idea to get checked by an eye doctor.  I hope this helps.

is it ok to use some simply saline for nasal on my contacts as i'm out of eye solution?

Saline for contacts: No. Contact solution is a commercially prepared solution for cleaning and disinfecting contact lenses. Most have preservatives, a binding agent, a buffer, and a surfactant or wetting agent. Saline nasal has none of these agents, can't disinfect, and will cause stinging and burning, and IF the nasal saline has been used in the nose, you may introduce bacteria which live in the nose into your eyes.

: By itself the saline would likely irritate the eyes. However, if it was contaminated by nasal germs it may give rise to a surface bacterial infection at that location. Just monitor for redness &amp; discharge. If this occurs contact babies doc.

have chronic post nasal drip past few weeks i think due to seasonal allergies. using saline irrigation at night. avoiding decongestants & antihistamines due to dry eye. now have acid reflux. related? how to fix?  suggestions?

Possibly: Use nasal saline irrigation to reduce post nasal drip, regardless of cause. Treat GERD, avoid spicy foods, eating or sleeping supine, prop pillows. Drink fluids. If the nasal congestion persists, add an over the counter nasal steroid and follow up with ENT. Watch for cough, avoid smoke and seasonal allergens.

tried 2do saline spray nose rinse and it wouldn't come out the other side no matter what way i held my head. came out my eyes it seemed. advice?

Could have fistula: I'm not quite sure what you mean. If you do saline nasal rinse it will be tasted in your throat it won't come out other side of nose. The two sides of the nose are separate. If it came out you eye the you have an abnormal connection between your nose and your tearing system which could be a fistula. You should see an ENT specialist.

i was using simply saline probably every hour, because of meds i have extremely dry nose, eyes, and mouth, can you use to much, now my nose is raw????

Saline: great question. It can dry you out if overused. Every two to three hours probably is best. Make sure you are drinking lots of fluids, speak to your doctor about those meds

when i spray saline spray into my nose it gives me a slight headache that i can feel behind my right eye. maybe even in the middle of my head, it's hard to tell. it lasts for only like 10 mins then subsides. is this normal? should i change sprays

Some OTC: "saline sprays" may have a larger Salt CONTENTS than others....are you using so called "OCEAN SRAY" (Sea salt content)?
IF SO your headches may be used to increased pressure in your sinuses and IRRITATION in your nose! 
My advise....INVESTIGATE!

Saline: it may cause redness from irritation, otherwise if this was indeed saline it should be OK
