Seek surgical eval : The best treatment may be for coccyx removal,if that was fractures. Radio frequency procedures would be a 2nd choice if surgery will not correct this

Time: Treatment for coccygeal fractures is conservative and time will heal the bone. Symptomatic treatment is necessary. You'll need to get a "donut" balloon to sit on to take weight off of the fracture. If it goes on to not heal, sometimes we do an operative excision of the fragment.

Broken nose: "ala" means "wing." you fractured the lateral aspect of your nose. Protection and non-operative treatment if nondisplaced. It'll heal in about 6 weeks.

Go to ER: X-rays or MRI if needed. Splinting and immobilization of fracture and if not compound fracture the referral to surgeon. Will likely give pain meds too.

Cheekbone Fracture: Treatment will vary depending on the type of fracture (nondisplaced, displaced, simple, comminuted).  It is always best to be able to reduce the fracture to its original shape and form.  A thorough discussion should be had with your facial trauma surgeon.

Yes: The treatment is different based on how bad the fracture is.  It can vary from non-operative to repair to removal of the kneecap.  Your orthopedic surgeon will be able to give you more specific info, but yes, you can recover from it.

Accepted Answer

Depends: As long as it is not open or pressing brain, we normally observe the fracture, which should heal.  If there is spinal fluid leakage into nose or ear, you might need specialist's evaluation.  If it has opening of scalp, the wound needs to be carefully inspected and closed.  If it has indentation into the brain, you might need surgery to prevent seizure.

what happenes if you don't get treatment for  a fractured arm?

It will heal, but...: Most fractures will heal no matter what. However, it's best to seek treatment with an orthopaedic surgeon to ensure that the bone heals in an appropriate position. If the bone heals in a bad position, called a mal-union, it may cause pain, joint dysfunction, or lead to arthritis or loss of motion. See a board certified orthopaedic surgeon for an x-ray and treatment. Healing will take about 6 weeks.

It depends: Toe strapping and rigid surgical shoe. On occasion if displaced, it may require surgical reduction.

Accepted Answer

Likely: Depending on the location and whether a joint is affected can alter treatment plans. In a non-displaced, non-articular (not involving a joint) we often buddy splint the affected toe to it's neighbor for 4 weeks. If the joint is involved there are times when surgery is considered to either remove the fracture fragment or primarily repair the fracture with fixation.
